Worship helps us remember that the greatest power we could ever hope to have is the power of self-offering love, especially toward those who may see us as enemies. Worship also reminds us that there is now a power at work in us that is greater than any form of power we may encounter in the world. Further, that power is not for our sake only, but for the sake of our living out of that power to enact justice and mercy in the world.
